How does it work?
Inside Video VBOX is a GPS engine and three dedicated processors. The first processor (1) takes inputs from multiple cameras, and combines them into a single video stream. Based on the GPS engine (4), vehicle and sensor data, a second processor (2) then blends high resolution graphics in the form of gauges, bar graphs and text, onto the video. A third processor (3) takes the video stream, adds the stereo audio channel and then encodes both of these into an MPEG-4 format which is written to an SD flash card (5). A separate VBOX format file is also created which contains all of the data channels seamlessly synchronised with the video.
