VBOX HD previewed in Las Vegas
New miniature HD camera gets pulses racing when unveiled at the NAB show in Las Vegas.
With 90,000+ media and entertainment professionals attending from over 150 countries, this year’s NAB show in Las Vegas was the perfect place to preview our new state of the art high definition camera – the VBOX HD.
Expected to be launched in September 2012, this device is set to lead the way in affordable miniature HD technology. VBOX HD is the first HD system to integrate GPS logging with a 720p CMOS global shutter, eliminating the distortion caused by high vibrations.
Allowing users to mount the camera up to 5m away from a GPS synchronised logger, VBOX HD is highly versatile system capable of capturing video in h.264 format directly to an SD card.
With the HD camera measuring just 21mm in diameter and 39mm in length, and operating within -30°C to +70°C, this device is capable of producing rock steady pictures in places you would struggle to use conventional cameras.
