GO, GO, GO...Kart goes 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds!

An electric kart has gained a place in the Guinness World Records with a staggering 0-60mph time of just 3.4 seconds.

Attempted at the ADAC GT Masters Weekend in Germany by Linde, a company who usually specialise in the production of industrial fork lift trucks, the kart was fitted with a Performance Box to accurately measure the 3.4 seconds it took to go from 0 to an eye popping 60mph.

Named the “Linde E1” and created especially for the record attempt at Europe’s largest automobile club annual gathering, the unique kart gets its power from the same electric engine as one used by the company to power its fork-lifts.

The kart’s first run produced a time of 3.4 second, setting the record for “The Fastest 0-60 mph Acceleration by an Electric Kart”.
