The Australian GT SeriesRace series organisers around the world have increasingly been turning to 'black box' solutions to record video and data and support their own marshals, to understand exactly what's happening on the track during the race and avoid driver disputes. After a number of incidents, the Australian GT Series wanted the best available system for their race monitoring, with a view to bringing down dispute costs, and also to offer wider possibilities for recording their races. The solution they chose was Video VBOX Pro.

DPR MotorsportAs a leading Caterham approved team, DPR Motorsport have set up their very own track side media centre to allow their drivers to benefit from data captured using Video VBOX. David Rowe, DPR Team principal, said: “As a team historically we have always relied heavily on data acquisition. We have found using the Video V Box system together with our trackside media centre has enabled us to improve our support package further. Providing fast and convenient access to all of the team data gives our drivers the ability to analyse and view that data away from the circuit and between race weekends which is key to improving performance.”

Traction Products. Inc Weismann Marine LLCPat Weismann “Video VBOX has been crucial for us in developing our gearboxes. In recent tests with a Martini Corvette we could look at the software and understand what was happening and how to improve our paddle shift system, because the footage and audio in sync with the data gives you so much more than just looking at the data. Video VBOX enabled me to diagnose an issue happening at Spa when I was still in California!” |

Wilhelm Lutjeharms, Journalist at CAR
"Just want to say what a pleasure it is to deal with Racelogic's support department. In today's climate where customer service is utterly pathetic, well in South Africa anyway, it is always a pleasure to correspond with this department."
Race Tech International Magazine
"The Video VBOX is a great tool for improving lap times. Powerful, easy to set up and straight forward to use ... it's one of the best video loggers on the market."
EVO Magazine on Video VBOX
"After testing the various devices on the market including other GPS systems, the VBOX was the most reliable and easy to use."
Car and Driver Magazine on VBOX systems
"I've used a variety of vehicle testing equipment and the VBOX systems are by far the most convenient of any system out there. They offer a high-degree of accuracy in a package that's a fraction the size of anything else. Thanks to the ability of VBOX to run either stand-alone or with a PC, there isn't a vehicle or race car that it can't be tailored to. We've bought a number of different VBOX systems and are finding new uses for them nearly every week."
Top Gear
Top Gear are established VBOX users and once again used the system to record driver and vehicle performance. RACELOGIC staff were on hand to assist Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and regular mystery driver "The Stig" throughout this event
